what a great show... really respectful crowd I thought and not one person yelled "alison"! played a lot of songs could've listened all night long. Played tracks from the whole catalog.... well not the first M3 record but there were a lot of gems. Ended with a song I've never heard before.... have to find out what that one was tonight at the Mercury Lounge show! No setlist but it started with Martha's Mantra and a lot of new album stuff which sounded great! More soon.

I picked up a copy of the demos and they are great. I think you can hear a lot of the early slowdive/M3 crossover which is fun. I still like the final album much better with Neil in the foreground of the mix. They have great techniques in mixing their records.
Can you tell I'm an engineer!

haha yeah that was me yelling at that guy! Last night I dreamed I beat him up too! Too bad I'm a peaceful fellow. Anyone else have a favorite NYC show? I think the best I saw was the knitting factory 2000 where they had that fantastic hired gun of a steel player. The show at Fez, Neil Solo was great too.

there were no M or L's at the show... Just S's... that is just to S for me. Can we get some proper sizes somehow?

Re: New York Show Review (12 replies, posted in Mojave 3, Neil Halstead and Rachel Goswell)
IT was a great show and I really liked the new band members. They were very confident players and did not overextend themselves at all. It was a nice fit. As for Rachel's fill-in I didn't think she was showing off really at all. She was very low in the mix at times and it was hard to hear her but she was fine. It's a tough spot for her to be in but I thought she did an admirable job considering the expectations of Rachel's shoe size. THe guy yelling Dagger and Alison really got on my nerves. I've seen every NYC M3 gig and there is always a jerk-wad yelling that stuff but last night he was relentless. I turned around and yelled at him at one point and I'm pretty shy usually....
I'm most sad because they only had size small T shirts? I heard they run big but I need at least a medium I think.... especially after how much I drank last night. Anyone know how I can get them to order more T's?
Highlight: High Hopes & Hi/Lo Neil Solo? & Slowdivey jam outs at the end were amazing!
Midlight: funny breakin' the ice improv with a D string break
Lowlight: reworking of Yer Feet... that song is so striking with just Neil solo I have to say I didn't like it with upbeat swing. But maybe I'm just traditional.
