online webchat with Rachel Goswell this Sunday!

Mojave 3 bassplayer/vocalist Rachel Goswell, has kindly offered to take part in a online chat this week. Starting at 7PM GMT this Sunday (11th), you’ll have the chance to chat with Rachel and quiz her about Slowdive, Mojave 3 and the making of her solo record!

Place: www.mojave3online.com ChatRoom (you can find the link in the Main Menu).
Time: 7pm GMT / 11am Pacific Time / 2pm Eastern Time
Date: Sunday 11th August

You may want to try entering the Chat Room sometime prior to then, just to check it works with your browser.

If you have any questions about the chat, or you are unable to be there and would like me to ask something on your behalf, then leave a note on the message boards. I’ll be posting a log of the chat on the website afterwards.

Short update on Mojave 3 activities

Rachel gave me a brief update on her current activities, which I thought I’d share with you. She’s completed a cover of ‘If’ for a Bread Tribute album, which should be released next January. More news as and when…. If you don’t know the song, you can listen to a short sample here. A beautiful song, and one can only imagine that Rachel’s version will be the best thing since sliced bread! hohoho… ahem… :-p

Rachel’s solo album is still in progress, with 4 songs completed. The release date will be sometime late next year, once the new Mojave 3 album has been released. Mojave 3 will be in Cornwall to complete their 4th album in August/September this year, with the release date sometime around March next year (hopefully). Only 7 months to go then! :-)

And of course in the meantime, Neil is rocking around the world – you may have seen the new UK live dates scheduled for October.

Message Board turned on again – need your help with testing!

OK, I’ve reopened the new message board, but need your help please.

You can access it via the usual link (in the Main Menu box). Please take a look, make a few posts and let me know of the problems you come across and things which are wrong, via the feedback page (also to the right in the Main Menu box).

What’s New with this message board:
– once you have logged into the Mojave3online website, you don’t have to login again to the message board. Your Mojave3online login is your only required login!
– though I did not test it yet, there is the possibility to send each other private messages.
– a bunch of other things… you’ll see them easily enough!

Things you should check:
- once you’ve logged in, just check your profile via the message board, and check that the various options are ok, especially “Always show my Email Address” and “Always notify me of replies”. You may want to turn both of these off.

So, check it out and send me your feedback. I haven’t been able to test it 100%, so please help me out here!

UPDATE 6th Aug: a little word of warning – if you are using the ‘Nuke Stars’ theme for this site, the messsage board and website ‘may’ not display correctly. So use at own risk!
